What's your story, Jess?

As a speech-language pathologist (SLP) and mother of two children, I have witnessed the transformative power of books and shared reading with children, again and again.

Story time and shared book reading have been some of my most cherished memories as a parent. Reading is my go-to activity and something I know we’ll all enjoy even on the tough days. Like me, I imagine you’ve also heard about how “reading is so good” for kids -- I’ve used my professional strategies and skills to make the most out of our reading times.

As a SLP, throughout schools, clinics, outpatient centers and early intervention in New York City and Washington D.C., I've helped hundreds of children improve their speech, language, and literacy skills. Building pragmatic social competencies, communication skills and social connection, are my specialties and I’ve combined them with shared book reading to bring you Stories to Speech.
