QUESTION FOR YOU

Does any of this sound familiar?

We all want to be confident and competent parents, setting our kids up for success. You can’t just type into Google “How do I make sure my kid is happy and successful?” and find the practical answers you need.

You start to research how to lay the necessary groundwork for speech, language, and school success and are bombarded with a million conflicting pieces of advice. You have no idea which ones work, or even more, which ones will work for YOU.

You know that your child’s success and well-being is the most important thing in your life, but you also have responsibilities that prevent you from spending as much time as you’d like (or that you’ve been told you should). How do you find balance and the time to give your kid the best support possible? How do you overcome the guilt that comes with living a full life?

When you do find the time to sit with your child and read together, they’re distracted and full of energy - reaching for toys, throwing books, screaming for snacks. How do you get them to focus on what you’re trying to do?

Your friend’s kid started talking already and you can’t help but wonder if your child is behind. Is there a delay? Are they a late talker? Are they learning enough? Will they do well in school? Am I doing everything that I can to help them meet their speech milestones and learning benchmarks to make sure they’re not behind?

And as if all of that wasn’t discouraging enough…

You don’t feel like you know what you’re doing. It feels awkward and uncomfortable and even though you know this is what you SHOULD be doing, it doesn’t feel easy or natural. None of this feels like you imagined it would.

Imagine If...

You had the keys to unlock your child's potential

You had a single proven plan that was easy to follow and follow through with - that empowers you to take your child’s speech and learning development into your own competent hands - laying the foundation they need for success.

You knew that, when spent intentionally, just 10-20 minutes a day, 3-5 days a week, could be enough to begin to see your child talk, understand, and develop a lifetime love of reading.

Your child starts to communicate actively, respond to you and the world around them, and engage with books. Your family and friends notice all of their new skills. Your child has a new calm and confidence, assured by their abilities.

You're child is meeting all of their speech and language milestones and you feel confident that they are on track academically and ready to take their learning to the next level.

When you sit down to read with your child, they are engaged and excited to spend that time with you. They have favorite characters and favorite books and even spend time on their own flipping through their books and telling you about the stories.

You begin to develop a routine that you both look forward to. Reading together starts to become natural and enjoyable. You feel confident in the voice that you’ve developed in this journey with your child, and you know that your modeling will impact your child in the most positive ways.

HERE'S WHAT I CAN PROMISE

There is nothing better than cuddling your child, knowing that this time is creating an impact beyond this moment.

Developing a reading routine with your child will not only get them talking, expand their vocabulary, and grow their interest in reading - but it will also nurture the bond between you.

Knowing you can create this moment, again and again, the worries of time slipping away, or not having enough time with your child, can be transformed into a routine that’s a recurring opportunity for connection and love.

I’m sharing the secrets that will help you to help your child unlock their potential and live the future of their dreams.

We all know reading is important.

but

No one talks about the critical impact that reading very early on to your young child has on their speech and literacy development and overall academic success.

or

about how to read well.

MAKE YOUR EFFORTS MEANINGFUL AND IMPACTFUL

I've been where you are

As a licensed speech pathologist and a mother of two, I’ve been able to take my professional strategies beyond the therapy room and apply them to real-life parenting. I understand that being a parent, especially in today’s world, brings its own unique challenges. I’ve recognized that many strategies parents are being offered aren’t realistic or practically applied in the chaotic lives most of us live with small kids.

When it came time to consider my own children’s speech and language development (which begins much earlier than many parents realize), I saw an opportunity to mold the mountains of professional knowledge I have gained into simple, step-by-step strategies that are easy to understand and apply. In just 5-15 minutes a day, a few days a week - you too can implement specialized techniques that will ensure your child’s speech, communication, and learning success.

LEARNING TOGETHER SHOULD BE FUN AND CONNECTING

Building a solid foundation for your child’s development isn’t as scary or complicated as it may sound

With the help of a few simple, proven strategies, you’ll feel confident that:

Your reading time with your child is optimized for their success. You’ll be making the most out of your learning moments together.

Your attempts aren’t just like that spaghetti your kid threw at the wall earlier - they are expertly crafted, bite-size strategies that are proven to work.

You have other parents in your corner! Being a parent is amazing, but to be honest, it can also feel lonely and frustrating. With this program, you get more than the tools to help your child thrive, you get a community of other parents on this journey with you.

This is for you if...

You’re a busy parent that cares deeply about your child’s future.

You're a caregiver, grandparent, educator, specialist, or student who is interested in maximizing the impact of your time and involvement with a young child.

You don't want to waste time while you're waiting for an early intervention evaluation or on a therapy waitlist.

Your child isn’t yet talking, you think there could be a delay, or you worry that your child is a late-talker.

You don’t want your child to face the same learning struggles and school challenges that you or a family member did.

You’re okay with putting down the books when things aren’t lining up, knowing you’re always willing to come back the next day and try again.

You know that reading with your child is the best way to support your child's development and success, and you want to use your precious time as effectively as you can.

This is not for you if...

You’re looking for a quick fix.

You’re unwilling to make this a part of your regular practice and lives.

You dislike cuddles, snuggles, and giggles. at story time.

You’re willing to miss the critical learning window between birth and five years and wait until your child starts school.

You want to leave your child’s success up to chance and to the fate of teacher competency with best practices. You're hoping to draw the “good” kindergarten from the lottery and trust that your school is on the "right" side of the "reading war."

You’re uncomfortable with a learning curve and aren’t willing to practice through it. You're not interested in having a growth mindset for yourself or your child.

You think that you can't have an impact on your child's development.

WHAT'S MY STORY?

Hello friends, I’m Jess.

I’m a mother of two and a
speech-language pathologist (SLP).

I’ve made it my mission to spread the word about shared reading and help others set their child on the path to success as I have for my own children!

About Me

“Why is this so important to you, Jess?”

01

Because, reading with children is one of the most impactful ways to unlock your child's potential and set them on a path toward achieving their dreams.

02

Besides-- the snuggles, giggles and connection, are pretty great too! And who has enough snuggles these days?

03

Everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from reading. It’s such a simple and powerful tool that should be available to all children!

04

And you shouldn’t have to wait for early intervention, your child to have an IEP, or the transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn” reveals some classroom struggles.

05

The message that reading is the #1 thing you can do to support your young child shouldn't be an “open secret” that your SLP friend lets you in on.

ARE YOU WONDERING

Well, friends, I'm letting you in on the big secret:

Reading with your young child is the best way toward the bright future and loving connection you're dreaming of!
